What’s in each kit?

The Universal Magnetic Kit ($24.99) is the standard mount — a magnetic baseplate with 3M VHB pre-applied, ready to peel and stick. The Trim-to-Fit Base Kit ($29.99) adds extended 3M tape you can trim down for oddly-shaped mice. The Maker Kit ($15.99) is for anyone who prints their own gear — you get a QR card that unlocks the .STEP files. Need a spare mount for a second mouse? Grab a Replacement Baseplate ($14.99) on its own.

Does it fit my mouse?

The magnetic baseplate mounts to almost any flat-sided mouse — see the full rundown on the compatibility page. If your mouse has a weird curve or a sculpted shell, start with the Trim-to-Fit Base Kit instead: the extended 3M tape can be trimmed down to match your mouse’s footprint exactly.

Will it damage my mouse?

No. Every mount uses 3M VHB — the same adhesive used on interior car trim. It holds hard during a match and comes off clean: warm it for a few seconds with a hair dryer, then peel slowly. No residue, no marks, no cracked shell.

How do I install it?

Clean the mounting surface, peel the liner off the 3M VHB, and press the baseplate down for 30 seconds. That’s the whole install — no screws, no tools. Give the adhesive a few hours to fully cure before you go hard on it.

What do I actually trim on the Trim-to-Fit Base Kit?

Cut only the extended 3M tape around the edge of the base — never the printed dock itself. Trace your mouse’s footprint, trim the tape to match, then mount as usual. The dock is engineered to hold its shape; the tape is the only part built to be customized.

What comes with the Maker Kit, and can I sell prints from it?

The Maker Kit ships a QR card that unlocks the .STEP files for our mounts and grips, so you can print, modify, and remix on your own printer. The files are licensed CC BY-NC — personal use only, no selling prints or files. Designed something worth sharing? Submit it at /maker and we may buy commercial rights outright.

Are themed grips available?

Themed grips are in development and coming soon, chosen by community vote. Sign in and cast your vote (or submit your own design) to help decide what gets printed next.

How long does shipping take?

Every order ships through Amazon’s fulfillment network, typically arriving in 2–5 business days across the US and Canada. Orders of $40 or more ship free; everything else is a flat $4.99.

Where’s my order?

Since orders are Amazon-fulfilled, you’ll get a tracking link by email as soon as it ships — check that inbox (and spam folder) first. Still stuck? Reach out at /support with your order number.

Do I need to sign in?

Only if you want to submit a grip design or vote on which themed grip we print next — that’s handled through Sign in with Connections, one click, no new password to remember. Checkout doesn’t require an account.

What if a part breaks?

Email a photo and your order number to support@pinkyrest.com. We stand behind everything we ship — see the full lifetime replacement policy on the shipping page.

What if I just don’t like it?

Send it back within 30 days for a full refund, no questions asked. Email support@pinkyrest.com for a return label.

Where is it made?

Designed, printed, and hand-finished in Houston, TX. Every kit that ships has been through hands in that shop, not a faceless factory line.

Do you take customer feedback seriously?

Yes. Every message gets read by the person who designs these mounts, and the lineup keeps evolving because of it. If something’s off, tell us — it goes straight into the next revision.
